TIOHTIÀ:KE VILLE-MARIE tableau

A unique cultural and historical experience on the Esplanade PVM.

Montréal en Histoires, Ivanhoé Cambridge and PVM are proud to present the TIOHTIÀ:KE VILLE-MARIE tableau, created by Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon, in collaboration with Michel Marc Bouchard. Enriching Cité Mémoire's downtown circuit, this tableau is projected in the evening, from Wednesday to Saturday on the Esplanade PVM at the West entrance of 1 Place Ville Marie.

Recounting the early years of Ville Marie, it juxtaposes the reality of the times as seen through the eyes of Jeanne Mance, co-founder of Montreal and founder and administrator of the Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal, with that of the Iroquois nation (Kanienʼkehá꞉ka) that occupied the territory, through the eyes of a great warrior.

Accessible, fun and educational, the TIOHTIÀ:KE VILLE-MARIE tableau will be a must-see in downtown Montreal.
